Have a look around our school

Our school was built in 1869. More building work took place in 1961 when two classrooms, a hall and a kitchen were added. In 1999 we had a new entrance, extension of office space and development of the old kitchen area. In 2004/2005 we had a big change - a new classroom was built, an existing classroom was enlarged and a corridor was built to connect all rooms without the need to go outside.
When you come through the front doors the secretary's office is on the right and next to that is our Headteachers office . Opposite to the office is our ICT Suite with 15 PCs and an interactive whiteboard.

Next is our First Aid room where we go if we hurt ourselves; there are lots of people who can look after us. Further along the corridor is the staff room; this is where the teachers and helpers have a cup of tea and where they hold staff meetings. Next to the staffroom is the Willow's classroom where Year 1 is taught.
Behind this room is our secret garden.

The next class room is the Horsechestnuts' room which has its own garden and play area. The Horsechestnuts' (reception) have their own play shed which has been different buildings during their play. For example it has been a garden centre, post office and Santa's grotto, to name just a few. They even try to grow their own flowers and vegetables in their garden.
They seem to have lots of fun.

If you take the front entrance you will come to the Sycamore's Class first. This is the room that has been extended and is the home of Years 2 and 3. Behind this room is the cloakroom shared by years 1,2,3,4 & 5. (Reception have their own cloakroom and toilets)

Turn left as you enter school and you get to our hall. This hall is used for assemblies for the whole school each day. The hall also has lots of large P.E. equipment and this is where we do our indoor P.E. lessons. There is a large cupboard in the hall where we keep the dining tables and chairs. These are all put out at lunch time for us to use.
Leading off from the hall is our DT room and the caretakers office.

The Sequoia's (Years 4 and 5) room is the newly built room at the back of the school. It is a lovely, light, airy room and, like all our other classrooms, has internet connections for the PCs and an interactive whiteboard.

Our Library is now housed in the new corridor and one of our Mums helps us look after it.
